Melissa Mihok

Ms. Melissa C. Mihok is Board Certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in labor and employment in the Orlando office of the Private Corporate Counsel. She is also a member of the Firm’s Labor Litigation and Business Groups, having practiced extensively in labor and employment for more than 20 years. During this time, Ms. Mihok has worked at one of a handful of firms chosen by the Florida Education Association to represent its members statewide in disciplinary and certification matters and managed her own former private practice where she focused on labor and employment.

Ms. Mihok specializes in complex teacher disciplinary actions and certification issues, civil rights, and whistleblower claims, as well as handles difficult issues such as discrimination, retaliation, administrative hearings, union representation, mediations, arbitrations, and appeals.

Ms. Mihok has extensive experience representing many individuals and companies in state and federal court in discrimination, retaliation, and whistleblower complaints cases. She has represented clients in various areas of law, primarily focused on employee-side labor and employment issues and administrative hearings. She has argued before multiple appellate courts as well as represented clients in mediations and arbitrations.
