Attorney Mary Cannon specializes in the legal needs of business owners, offering experience in management, contracts, employment law, intellectual property, technology law, and privacy law. While in law school, Ms. Cannon served as Executive Editor of the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy, received an award for Distinguished Pro Bono Service, and was named to the Dean's List. She also clerked for a Ninth Circuit Court judge and contributed to the Spanish translation of the Constitution of the State of Florida.
Driven by the goal of helping business leaders succeed, Ms. Cannon provides expert attention and care to the legal needs of her clients. She has assisted her clients in litigating a range of employment law matters, from wage and hour claims to discrimination and harassment. Ms. Cannon also studied business in addition to law, earning a trade certification from the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics. Learning from Chinese faculty, she formed a simulated American corporation, made formal international video presentations, and negotiated deals with Chinese business students.
With a background in entrepreneurship and executive leadership, Ms. Cannon has a special understanding of the concerns of her business clients. She has hired and fired employees and managed staff; negotiated with landlords and vendors; and grown a small business into a multimillion dollar company. Ms. Cannon appreciates the adventurous nature and creative energy of the business world. She encourages and supports her clients through any business situation, including the inevitable times of stress.

Ms. Cannon shares a son with her husband, Dr. Randall Cannon. When they are not in Central Florida, she and her family live part-time in North Carolina. They enjoy camping, hiking, and cooking vegan food together. In her spare time, Ms. Cannon studies American Sign Language, volunteers as an English teacher at the Kosciuszko Foundation, and serves as Director of The Full Belly Fund, Inc.
